Hi

After reading many posts on this forum, I signed up for the Virgin Velocity Flyer visa card, so I thought I would let any past or would be applicants know of my issues.

I applied via the link on the Virgin Australia website as shown on their home page, which offers 20,000 bonus points (10K upon card approval and 10K if spend $5,000 within 3 months of approval) PLUS, Balance Transfer rate of 1.9% for first 9 months, for applications made before 28th January 2013.

I also noticed when doing some research on what card to apply for that the Virgin Money website shows the same Virgin Velocity Flyer visa card, but with only 15,000 points and 2.9% balance transfer for first 6 months, so the Virgin Aust website definately had the best offer for the card. !!

Approval went through fine last week and received my card without any isues and I rang them today to ask about my balance transfer request as per my application only to be told that my balance transfer went through at the 2.9% for 6 months and when I enquiried about my bonus points I was advised I will get 15,000 bonus points in total.

It appears that even though I clicked the link to apply via the Virgin Australia website (which had more points and better bal tfr) that my application has been processed as if I applied via the Virgin Money website. !!

The call centre gentleman that I spoke to was helpful after I pointed him to the Virgin Australian website to draw his attention to the terms and offers that I signed up for with the card.
He said he will escalate my call to 'get it sorted', but no mention of how long that will take.

As the offer on the Virgin website ends on 28th January (and the offer disappears from that website) , I have printed all the relevant webpages from the Virgin Aust website that I signed up under as no doubt I will have to produce them to someone down the track to confirm the correct bonus points and balance transfer I should receive.
I also note that the same offer I signed up for on Virgin Aust website is also on the Velocity website under 'latest credit card offers'.

If anybody else has signed up for the Virgin Velocity Flyer card via the Virgin Australia website (or the Velocity website), you may want to also check out when them what offer they assigned to you.

I think I've got it covered by printing the relevant web pages of what I signed up under, but if anybody has another ideas of what evidence I should collect that would be appreciated.
thanks
