from news.com.au:

THREE years ago it was just a dream, but today Virgin launched its maiden Brisbane flight to the City of Angels.

The arrival of V Australia, a long-haul, full-service airline, is the latest addition to the Virgin Blue Group - and the new Boeing 777 its weapon of choice in the trans-Pacific route war.

I would like to wish V Australia the best of luck and hope it is still around for many years to come....

I flew on this inaugural Brisbane > LA flight and have to say that I was suitably impressed by the V-Australia aircraft. I'm 195cm/110kg and being couped up in Y isn't normally a fun way to spend twelve hours however, there was ample room for me and their entertainment was good too.

I too wish them the best of luck and would have no hesitations in recommending them to others.
