Virgin changed flight time

Please excuse this question….am unfamiliar with Virgin as usually fly QF. But because this flight was at a more convenient time I booked Virgin.

Just had an email saying they have changed our flight to 3 hours earlier. Unfortunately since we won’t be off the ship at that time, the new flight is unacceptable.

What are my options when I ring if they can’t put me on a flight that suits me? Can I ask for a refund? Will there be penalties?

Thanks for any info that will help when I call them.
 
You can request a more suitable alternative flight time at no extra cost.

Alternatively you can request for the flight to be cancelled and you'll be reimbursed into your travel bank.

So if I cancel as there is no suitable time available, I can request cash and not a credit?
