Virgin Australia to Reconfigure 737 Fleet - Spend $110M

Have all aircraft now been updated? Anyone know which regos have not?

Also, how many now have the 'shower curtain' installed?

There is 4 leaving the fleet by year end, I doubt they have been refurbished.

IWQ returns from Seletar tomorrow and was the last aircraft to be completed.

This means the entire fleet has now officially been reconfigured.
It is a shame that many of the reconfigured planes are just the old seats or seats with new covers. Very few of the 737-800s I've got on this year managed have managed get the proper new seats.

Now we are at completion, it feels another half coughd Virgin implementation - like shower curtains and the fabled cabin divider.

Which are the old seats? As in the ex Silkair and Tigerair seats?

Did the stock standard Boghetti leather seat (from around mid last decade I think) get reupholstered or are they all gone?

But yes a shame VA did a half coughd job. That’s one thing that no carriers here have done well, seat/product consistency .

All of the sky interior aircraft retained their original seats during the reconfiguration. So, yes, the Borghetti era ones. They are now in the process of being reupholstered to match the ribbed style of the new seats found on the MAXs and older 800s. Much needed IMO. The old purple, grey and red mixture is looking a bit long in the tooth.

I don't think this is necessarily a bad thing. The older seats are arguably more comfortable than the new ones and they were pretty clear from the start it would be new or refreshed economy seats.

One positive is they now have fleet-wide in-seat power.

Re: seat power. Almost fleet wide. VH-YFF & VH-YFE are the only two left in VA fleet that are J Cabin power only still.
