Virgin Australia to Reconfigure 737 Fleet - Spend $110M

Just found a very annoying fault with the refit. If you're in row 3, the overhead alignment hasn't been adjusted and the air vents now blow to the back of your head. If you try and adjust them forward you severly restrict the volume of air. For someone like me that runs hot when flying, I'm not a very happy penguin.

Ohh and the overhead light now illuminates your headrest so good luck if you plan on having a nap in row 4

I constantly saw people moving the rope and going through to the front toilet.

In a mass of Virgin row 3 flights never saw it once. Worked wonderfully IMHO.

Was in a 700 yesterday evening and opted for Exit Row while the geniuses at Virgin work out how and when to add the Tumu $9 curtains. Bain are such nickel and dimers they probably have put out a global tender to get it under $9.

Seems like giving them a year to do it was pushing the techie envelope. :)

Was on one of the recently reconfigured ex SilkAir aircraft today. Wifi has been fitted which is a plus.

If you're looking for power outlets in Economy on these aircraft, they do exist, but they're hiding down near your feet. Took a while to realise they were actually there as they're not very noticeable.

They're universal power outlets too, rather than the USB chargers on the rest of the fleet.

Was surprised to fine myself on one of the refurbed 700 (NQI) this morning MEL-SYD.

The seat looks to be slightly different in terms of the upholstery and tray table / literature set up but otherwise feels the same as a refurbished 800 seat. WiFi has been fitted but it’s entertainment only no internet.

I recall these are the old Tiger seats?
