Virgin Australia - Promo Codes (ongoing)

I have a travel bank to use and tried the above step and got this error, so looks like you can't get use both a promo code and travel bank.

I think there may be some confusion regarding standard travel bank and future flight credit travel bank.

Standard travel bank (using velocity membership number as account number) should be able to be used with a discount code.

Future flight credit travel bank is limited to certain fare buckets and cannot be used with a discount code.

I believe the checkbox on the initial booking search form is actually for future flight credit travel bank usage, and does not need to be checked if you're intending to use standard travel bank as payment. They haven't labelled it very well to show that it's for this purpose.

I logged out and logged back in and I was able to use a standard travel bank with the promo code.

With me currently having to cancel everything for the next few months I could be there shortly. Not sure yet how my credits are being applied though. I need a bit longer malingering before I am up to working it through.

Just checked VA’s new Cairns Tokyo flights in August, used code ITX13, and came up with $2500 return in J. Add a Bonza flight from MCY to CNS, and darn site cheaper than out of BNE.

Good find, although I can't see it applying the ITX13 discount.
If the discount works, you will see "Special" next to the price, can you see this? If so what dates?
Great idea re Bonza to get to Cairns.

Edit/update: I just found a price of $2521 with no discount code, at the end of Aug in J, that's a great price still

Yes, unfortunately, they all stopped working around 2 weeks ago - here is hoping someone posts a new code soon
