Virgin Australia flights to Doha

So interesting - i've just booked flights to Berlin, via Doha ex Melb for next year.

When we booked the flights on Qatar, it shows as a QR metal, with QSuite and starlink.

When the tickets came through, it had the VA codeshare. When you put the QR/VA flight numbers into seatguru, it populates with the old VA777's that used to flights MEL-PER and to the US - the ones with the J product 'The Business'.

Anyone have the same issue?

Yes because it shows the VA fleet, not QR's. It hasn't clocked that it's a Qatar plane. If you look on the side at "planes and seat maps", it also has A330-200s, ATR 72-500s, and only one 777 layout.

I found a list of the rego numbers of the QSuite 77W's, here is the TLDR (I can't find the website sorry):

42 seats: A7-BA(C/E/F/G/I/M/O) and A7-BE(D to X)
24 seats: A7-BA(T-Z) and A7-BE(A-C)

Of course this could be inaccurate or out of date.

Just go by the seat map on the QR website, it’ll be Qsuites.

I did a dummy booking on the QR site for my VA award flight, noted available seats during the ‘seat selection’ stage, and called VA to assign the seats. Did this for several friends as well.

Pretty sure all QR flights to/from Australia apart from 1x daily SYD-DOH have QAuites and Starlink

Not correct lately, for example two flights out of Adelaide in the last week were on A350's with the reverse herringbone layout and not Qsuites.

My March flight out of Adelaide is not showing as QSuites at this stage, even though it was when I booked it. QR website is also not advertising flights in mid-March as being QSuite, hopefully this changes by then!

I know they were doing that earlier this year but didn’t realise they still had some next year too. I’ve done that flight several times and have always had QSuites but one didn’t have Starlink. Bit of a bummer and yeah I would look at other options if not QSuite personally

the best way to check whether your flight has Q Suites is to do a search on Google Flights for Qatar flights on your route and it shows whether there is a Suite or not

There has been some discussion about Q Suites and working out if your flight has them. The best way to check is to search for that flight on Google flights and it shows whether there is an Individual Suite or not.

Has VA pulled all J award availability?

I see no J awards from any port 330 days out. Am I missing something?
It seems like you need to do a Krisflyer transfer these days to get a business save out of Australi
