I know its not the most reliable source but wikipedia shows Virgin as awaiting 9 MAX 8 deliveries. Does anyone know where the discrepancy between 9 and 12 comes from? The 12 figure is probably correct but have Virgin exercised any more options or changed MAX 10 airframes to MAX 8s again to boost the number to 12?Those are all -8s. 12 due in total for 2026.

Interesting VA only owns 2 aircraft outright. 70% aircraft leased and 30% under financing. Interesting to see how much of its fleet QF owns, leases etcThe annual report gave a good snapshot, with the latest update indicating 13 this FY as far as deliveries

The CEO spoke to this at last year’s analyst briefing. They will go either way and it all depends on what is happening on the debt market. He said there was some very attractive rates on offer.Interesting VA only owns 2 aircraft outright. 70% aircraft leased and 30% under financing. VBY and VBZ are the unencumbered aircraft I'd suspect. I'd be surprised if the 8 other 738 aircraft that has "Virgin Australia Holdings Pty Ltd" as the registered owner also had mortgage arrangements on the side.Interesting VA only owns 2 aircraft outright. 70% aircraft leased and 30% under financing.
