Has anyone here signed up for the Virgin Accelerate program? If so, what have your experiences with it been? I've only booked a couple through it so far, and although the interface is a little clunky it seems to work. I didn't put anyone down for pilot gold at this stage as it's the wrong time of year for us to meet the qualification requirements - hopefully I can nominate staff for that later on.

More importantly it seems like going with Accelerate has meant that we have lost the ability to check-in via the website, mobile, or self-check kiosks. Maybe it's not the biggest deal, but certainly if you were carry-on only and likely to arrive a little late you'd probably want that feature! Has anyone else been able to online check-in via Accelerate?

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I'm signed up, but after booking flights through the portal once, I now just book the normal way. Its annoying not being able to change seats etc on those bookings.

We have also stopped using it; the site is waaaaaaay too clunky and, with the before mentioned disadvantages make that it cost us more time than what we save booking through the site

good initiative, badly implemented, hurting the most frequent travellers.

Virgin! I work for a user experience consultancy. We are happy to help you develop a site that puts the users first, gets them to use it and makes you money

I signed up but continually forget to even think about booking through the site. And then any feedback I've ever heard is how much it has a negative impact on the booking, that I just couldn't be bothered.

Weekend just gone I had trouble checking-in both ways. The lounge staff eventually got me checked in but remarked that the "tickets are all VCR'd". They also indicate that the system complains that there is no ticket number, even though they can clearly see a ticket number in the system.

Another oddity yesterday when booking was that after payment I ended up with an error message indicating that the booking had been processed and paid for but "not all flight add-ons were applied successfully" (or words to that effect - I believe it was referring to the additional baggage I had ordered). Go figure, hey?
