Australians are required a valid visa in order to travel to Vietnam. TheVietnam Immigration suggests two official ways

1. Applying online at **** Visa on Arrival (collecting at Vietnam International Airport on arrival)

which has similiar information, and contains unbiased information <<<<

Customers without a Vietnamese Embassy in their country, those booking late, or those preferringto minimize paperwork, can ask for a 'visa on arrival'. This involves supplying us with a few details in advance and collecting your visa when you enter Vietnam airports.

By choosing this way, customers will be asked to supply the basic information needed to apply tothe Immigration Office in Ha Noi for a 'visa on arrival'. When the official approval document is issued, we send it to the customer as a fax, or scan it and send it by e-mail.

The process from our receipt of a customer's information and his or her receipt of the visa approval takes a maximum of three working days. Please note that the Immigration Office is closed at weekends, so no approvals can be issued onthose days.

For this service, we charge $21 per person for the application procedure. The customer has to paya further $25 US (single entry visa)/ $50 (multiple entry visa) for each visa directly to the Customs Department at the airport.

2. Getting visa to Vietnam through Vietnamese consulate

- Do it yourself
In countries with a Vietnamese Embassy, prospective travelers to Vietnamcan visit the Embassy to collect an application form. Once the form has beencompleted and returned, the travel visa will be ready for collection aboutthree working days later assuming there are no complications. In somecountries, it is possible to have a visa sent by post, but the applicant willhave to send his or her passport to the Embassy for validation.

The cost will beabout $25 US or $30 US per visa, and the Embassy will levy a service charge ontop. To find out how much the Embassy charges, and whether the Embassy willissue a visa by post, intending visitors should ring the Embassy and ask forthe Visa Section.

- We deal withthe paperwork
We send customers a form requesting basic information (names, dates, passportnumbers and so on) by e-mail. When the completed from is returned, we apply tothe Immigration Office in Ha Noi. After about 3 working days, we will receivean approval paper and fax it to the Vietnam Embassy in the customer's country. The customer can then send his or her passport by post to the embassy with acheque for the visa fee, or collect it in person. It will be necessary to ringthe Embassy to arrange a time for collection.

I’m not sure replying to 2 year old threads and then starting a new thread about how to get a visa to Vietnam is all that useful? If you were answering a specific recent question it might be, but I’m sort of lost on why you started this thread and have replied to at least 2 others on Vietnam?

Could well be blatant self promotion.
