Row 1 is fine on Thai VietJet, any of the first few rows in the Skyboss section really.
If I've booked row 1 and every other seat in that Row is taken, if there's more empty seats in Row 2 or 3 I'll often shift.

Domestic flights are never too long to get uncomfortable in Thailand, although you're on a longer flight (CNX-HKT)
