I just read that VietJet has placed an order for 92 Airbus aircraft for Vietnam. see Vietnam's VietJet agrees bumper $9 bln Airbus order - Yahoo Finance

This can't be good news for Jetstar's Vietnamese operations. Jetstar has operations between seven domestic airports in Vietnam. Passenger preferences aside, I am not convinced free market mechanisms are totally in place that will allow Jetstar to continue as before.

"Free Market" in Vietnam is an interesting concept, regardless Jetstar Pacific is majority owned by Vietnam Airlines (read the Vietname Government) already so I doubt they will be affected much apart from remaining a tiny operation.
