Saw on twitter this morning that there were 10 spots available for the pre-flight briefing for delivery of VH-OJA to Illawarra.
Quickly filled out the form while juggling my coffee in the lift, and lo and behold, it looks like I got a spot!

Anyone else ?

Would love to know all the details ,eg direction of landing ,road closures ,etc.
Watching it land would be cool .

Has Red Roo got any hot pictures for us ? :)

Managed to witness the landing this morning :)
My wife & I left home at 05:15 & driving into Yallah at 06:20 we were surprised to see hundreds of people already claiming their spots to see the landing , there were even people waiting on the Haywards Bay Dr bridge.
This had me worried that we may have left our run too late.
We drove to my selected viewing area at Lot 15 Poplar ave Albion Pk , there were about 40 people there already but there was enough room for us to set up our chairs at the fenceline & wait for the landing , the runway was about 60 metres from our seats .
Some people were very prepared with plush chairs , tables & fancy coffee. We could even smell snags on the bbq but could not locate them , the serious photographers even had ladders.
By the time the aircraft arrived there were about 200 people in our area , there were people that climbed onto the roofs of houses.
As it came into view there was cheering & clapping ,the wheels touched down almost in front of us , it was very impressive & we are glad we saw it even thou it only lasted about 10 seconds.

A cosy 100 or so came up to Mt Kembla lookout under the powerlines.

Good view of the fly past and just managed to make out the puff of smoke on landing.

Interestingly, as I was walking up to work this morning after OJA's arrival, I spotted QF63 flying over Wollongong. QF63 was my first flight in OJA...

It was an emotional day for the Qantas family, saying goodbye to the "Queen of the Skies".

However the support from those who were able to share this milestone with us, at both take-off and landing of QF7474, was remarkable!

Thanks for the memories "City of Canberra". Welcome to your forever home at HARS: http://youtu.be/qFqJNhX_hNI.

Impressive video RedRoo - well put together and love the in-cabin footage on landing

I was there too - love the videos with the policeman's hat blowing off :D Funny moment!

Great Video Red Roo!

Very impressed that such a high quality video was made available so soon after the landing.

Your social media team, sure do a great job :)

Wow, so many spectators watching from the nearby perimeter fence for an early Sunday morning...... That sure must have beat expectations :)

Can't wait to visit VH-OJA in the near future.
