VH-OJA - 747-400 to retire at HARS 8th or 9th March ?

Went to see this today. Seems that it hasn't been getting the numbers that they predicted.

We went to the open day a couple of months back. We were pretty much the only ones there and easily spent 1.5-2hrs on OJA. All of the intercoms, PA systems, lighting controls etc. were functioning and the HARS crew were more than happy for us to fiddle around with them. We had the best day and I'd love to go back at some stage!

Same. I went about 2 months ago during open day and had a great time. There were a few QF current and former employees, including an A380 captain (not JB747!) and a former FA who had worked on OJA, that were all up for a chat. Had a great time.

There was a bit of a crowd that day, but the museum was certainly not packed.

Apparently they have been considering doing group tours of VH-OJA. Perhaps an idea for an AFF event?
