Veuling flight marked and sold as Iberia IB 5278, does status point apply?

Hi All,

A quick query as I was rejected for a missing points claim for a flight Porto to Zurich on a Veuling flight but ticket clearly states SOLD AS IB 5278. I even purchased it via Iberia website. I gather Veuling is Jetstar to Qantas. Clearly my flight number belongs to a partner airline and I even included the IB receipt from the email I received from them!

Their reply

"I'm unable to credit you with Qantas Points for your travel from Porto to Zurich on 29 June as your travel was on a codeshare flight where earning restrictions apply. Points can only be credited for travel where the flight number belongs to Qantas (QF) or a partner airline. The fare you purchased was marketed by Vueling and for this reason it isn't eligible for points."

I'm afraid codeshare flights flown by non One World alliance airlines won't earn points or SC's onto a QFF account. Whilst Vueling Is owned by the same parent company as Iberia - IAG , Vueling is not a One World member.

I flew a DBV > FCO sector on Vueling metal last month with a IB flight number, but sadly no points or SC's posted, which is what I knew would happen anyway.

I believe there has been reports in the past where IB flight numbers on Vueling have credited onto QFF accounts, but I'm certain that anomaly has been fixed.

Yes would credit to Iberia Plus and maybe BA Exec Club - but that is all. Just like you can't credit QF coded Jetstar flights to say MH or QR's FF programs.
