This has been the plan for years but each year it isn't acted on.

Yep I am quite aware it has been under scrutiny for a long while. I mainly posted as I believe there is a wider groundswell of opinion.

Our only cruise out of Venice there was a major thunderstorm. MrP loves thunderstorms and was very happy. I was disappointed.

I like your photos but others are seeing it like this and that is why the locals are not happy

We spent time in an apartment in Creek St Ketchikan Alaska & loved it there (photo from balcony)and got to appreciate how much the cruise ships meant to the towns after talking to a marine pilot-it is a real balancing act that is going to promote much more discussion

There's a Harbour off to the side so the ships berth out of that area. As in the top photo. But can understand the overwhelm.
