Velocity Website Slow

Has any body had problems with the inconsistent speed of logging onto the Velocity website since Sabre. Despite the many problems that people have had with the new system (I have only flown 6 sectors since the new system and had no issues with Virgin except some slow posting of points) the website for me has slowed down considerably to the extent I can go and make a cup of tea before the page loads. However we have 6 VFF under our roof and it is only the Platinum flyers (x3) that have slow access. All the other VFF's (2 x red and 1 x Sliver) when logging onto Velocity their pages load quickly. Is it possible that Velocity have slowed down the website (please don't laugh as I am not an IT expert) to help cope with the new Sabre system or does being a Platinum take up more resources. Just a thought!!

Wow. Be curious to see others experiences here.

Personally, I find VA/VR to be at a snails pace since Sabre Day. I'd try under one of my Red family members login, but to be honest I can face no more today. (I have today organised a 241 and J upgrade for 2 which I'll post separately when the blood returns to my head).

It's not the logging in that is slow, it is the building of the summary page that is slow.

When you log in, and it takes time, just click on one of the buttons on the left such as 'My Activity' which comes up quite quick.

I suspect that the Virgin Card temporarily unavailable message might be a timeout when it attempts to retrieve that, so that may be a problem....Without knowing how that page gets constructed it's hard to say much more.....

It was frustratingly slow to log in when I was Silver two weeks ago, it seems just as slow now I've been upgraded to Gold. It's just as slow for Mrs Grubbidok who is still a red. You'll have to wait a few months for my platinum update, though my guess is that will be slow too.

Yep - has been really slow in the last few weeks. Was hoping it was just temporary and a result of back-end "work-arounds" as they integrate SABRE into the Velocity web site.

In the interests of objectivity, time taken from hitting the "login" button to having the Velocity summary page come up:
Firefox: 1:12 (QFF - 14sec)
IE8: 59sec (QFF - 16sec)
Chrome: 58sec (QFf - 14 sec)
(Platinum with both VA and QF.)

So, can ALMOST make a cup tea in the time it takes to log-in to Velocity...
