Velocity to QANTAS Freq Flyer

Hi All,

I wasn't sure which forum to place this thread in as it covers both airlines. Is it possible to transfer points from the Velocity Awards program to the QANTAS frequent flyer program ? Even if it isn't a direct swap, but more of a 'roundabout' way of doing it, that would be great to hear!

I am refinancing all of my loans and banking etc, so it would be a a lot better for myself to consolidate points etc.

Definitely not directly and I doubt indirectly and should there be, I suspect there would be a significant de-valuation involved.

These two are sort of competitors so you can go with one or the other and then later on you may choose to run with both.

Transfer definitely no.

But if you want to collect on both QF and VA into one program going forward, you can do so with Air Berlin's Topbonus. That's the only one I am aware of. (Value of the program for an AU-based traveller is probably very limited though, unless you want to use it to obtain OW status.)

www.points.com does that kind of thing but mainly with US airlines. Have a look - you might find someone wanting to swap. However, normally swap rates are atrocious and I would not do it unless really desperate
