Same. Looks like they've taken one of the bad leaves out of Qantas' BP promotion and backdated it to some weird, seemingly irrelevant date.

Have same offer, but I fail to see where petrol is excluded.

I'll be buying petrol soon & post on this 10 point bonus if/when it appears.

re; Status Credits appearing, that's a no from me.
It says 'In-store only' so one would presume in-store items which usually excludes fuel from the outside bowsers. The 10x velocity points are to entice people to purchase items in-store e.g. snacks where there is more revenue for 7 Eleven than petrol.

Just came here to say mine just hit today - although they are listed in my "activity history" as 7 October.

So this is random.

1 account has the status credits hitting (the account I used the 711 app for). Points as well.

The second account that scanned directly with the velocity card has only had the points hit.

I’m just not sure I have the strength to fight the Velocity call centre over 10 status credits…

Any suggestions? Maybe I’ll email…

Interested to hear how you go. Still not had any SCs hit for any of the 4 accounts in our family pool (all 4 had the points hit within 24 hours). The terms said "please allow up to 4 weeks after the end of the offer period" for the SCs, which is this Sunday, so I'm going to wait until next week before attempting the call centre.

Good point I’ll wait until then too…
Dreading this call so hopefully they post!

@jakeseven7 & @MattA - not trying to be obvious but were the purchases you made using the accounts that didn't get the points all eligible ones? It was in the small print (of course 🙄 )

*You cannot earn Velocity Points on the following product categories at 7-Eleven - tobacco and tobacco related products (including but not limited to lighters); mobile prepaid/recharge phone and sim cards; parcel delivery and collect services including ParcelMate parcels and related services; gift cards; travel cards; MoneyGram; vouchers; trailer, lawn mower and car hire; coin operated car vacuum; prepaid tickets: transport tickets (Myki, Opal, Go Card); and any other products which are not legally eligible for Velocity Points as prohibited by Law and other products and services as notified to members from time to time. Velocity Points cannot be earned on transactions paid with fuel vouchers/cards, any fleet cards, vouchers or Motorpass and any other excluded payment methods as updated from time to time.

When mine didn't show up after a couple of weeks I thought maybe the Nurofen I bought (along with a sandwich) wouldn't be counted but I got the SC so all good. That red text ^^ could cover anything. Good luck :) :)

In my case, I believe so -- I got the points for all the transactions, just not the bonus 10 Status Credits. I think if it wasn't eligible then there would be no points either.

I have read and re-read the terms (screenshotted) and the only thing I can think of that might be an issue is the bit where it says "first eligible transaction". Did they mean first eligible transaction during the offer period/October or first transaction *ever*? All of our Velocity accounts have previously earned points via 7-11 (through that 711 bonus points offer back when they launched).

Oh yes of course - I wasn't thinking about not getting the Velocity points as well if it wasn't an eligible transaction. 🤦‍♀️ And I was confused about the same as you regarding the "first eligible transaction" bit. For me it actually was my first transaction ever using the app. I'm sure some of the others in the thread can confirm if they'd used it before or not and help remove the ambiguity.

It was exactly the same purchase as the transaction that earned status credits on the other account (and no :) )

Sigh….

I'm yet to receive any points or SCs for any of the 5 transactions I made on 24 Oct.

Is there anything on the 7-11 receipt to indicate that a Velocity account has been scanned? I can't see anything.

Do you have the App?

On the app it shows your Velocity account is linked. You cant see your history but you can track a small number of transaction by way of the rewards which accumulate till your 6th transaction and resets.

At least Velocity / VA post refunds to your Travel Bank immediately & post your refund of any points immediately.

Not the same can be said for that other mob QF, yeah it takes 8-12 weeks, pathetic. That's after how long waiting on hold, oh dear.

So I emailed them yesterday -- got a call back today to tell me that it was indeed this. "First eligible purchase" meant first velocity points earning spend at 7-11 ever.

I think the wording in the terms was very ambiguous:

"During the promotional period of 12:01AM AEST on 1 October 2021 to 11:59PM AEST 31 October 2021 (Offer Period), Velocity members will earn 10 bonus Velocity Status Credits (Status Credits) when they make their first Eligible Purchase at any 7-11 store in Australia."

I don't think it's a total leap to interpret that as "first eligible purchase... during the promotional period".

Tried to push back but no joy. Oh well.
