Hi guys,
I've never really bothered with the global wallet part of my velocity card but I soon need to pay for a few flights and noticed that they now pay out 2 points per $1 on international transactions. I'd be paying for domestic flights within South Africa and then business tickets from Johannesburg to Sydney through Etihad and whilst they're all quoted in ZAR I'd still be making this purchase whilst still in Australia. Would I still be entitled to the 2 points even though I'm making the purchase locally but in a foreign currency?
