Velocity Dining - 500 points per booking until 31st July, 300 after!

Just over 6 weeks

Need a few more bookings over the next 2 weeks for more points

Because if there are loopholes in the system and they are publically advertise then they'll be closed, so such errors in your favour may be far less likely to occur.

With all due respect, I don't need/want errors in my favour - I can do without 500 points. I'd rather not having to chase Velocity to post points that I have earned from ANZ flights, stays at Travelodge, Crowne Plaza, purchases made on Velocity Shop Mall etc. I want them posted without prompting Velocity.

I think I understand, but I consider your post is contradictory unless you are referring to Quantity. That is, it appears you'll take the 500 points that posted as you indicated, but really wish that other Velocity points earning promotions you have access did not require your considered effort in following up to get far more than a mere 500 points to post.

Well I have now had 2 fails from this scheme, different nights, different restaurants.

Make a booking, receive the email confirmation and sms confirmation

Either the same day or a few days later a call or email saying "Sorry we are actually fully booked" so we can't take your reservation.

From what one of the people told me, they just receive an email asking them to book a table for someone that has booked through Restaurant reservations, Ratings and Reviews | bookarestaurant.com so it's not really a live confirmation!

Compare Restaurants & Book a Table Instantly @ Dimmi - Compare Restaurants & Book a Table Instantly @ Dimmi seems to (at at least makes it look like) it checks for LIVE table availability

Have to say I am not that impressed after carefully picking a nice restaurant based on reviews etc and then a day or two before the night out, having to scramble and find another one

For 300 points, it's not worth the stress

I got 1100 points so far, there's a hotel restaurant a block from my apartment that's fairly decent food so I should take more advantage...
