Vacation Package - Throw Away the Flights?

I've booked a vacation package with HA which includes flights and hotel, as it ended up including a better room (Ocean View) for slightly cheaper than booking the base room directly through the hotel website (SPG). The problem is I don't want either of the flights booked with the package and have booked other flights (still with HA) which are at a more suitable time on the day, in a higher fare bucket; the goal to return to platinum status with VA.

I contacted the hotel directly and have the SPG confirmation number for the hotel booking and my credit card has been debited for the package. I have searched and searched, but can't find any information regarding no-showing on inbound flights and whether that then cancels the hotel booking as well.

I guess my worse case scenario would be that I do a return flight back to the origin and take the flight that was included in the package so as to ensure the hotel booking is not cancelled. The flights are HI inter-island.

Can anyone advise the best course of action? Do I tell HA that I booked more suitable times in a higher fare bucket and hope that the hotel booking is not affected?

Won't be an issue, though I have never done it with HA, I've done it the other way around with Expedia br.

I'd imagine by the time all the process to book you as a no-show work, you'll be checked in, even if it was going to be an issue.
