Hello,
I've got some questions about codeshares (I'm still fairly new to this). I couldn't find what I was after in existing threads (my apologies if these questions have already been answered).

I'm aware that late last year, VA and SQ (re-)entered into a codeshare agreement. My understanding of this means that you can book select VA flights on the SQ website, with an SQ number and vice versa.

1) If you book the VA flight with an SQ number, then that means that you can earn KrisFlyer points even though it's a VA-operated flight (possibly at a reduced rate)?

1A) If the above is true, then could you credit the SQ flight to any *A airline (e.g. AC, UA, etc.) for that airline's respective points/status program (again, possibly at a reduced rate)?

2) I assume that this applies to domestic VA flights too?

2A) If the above is true, I tried looking for flights between Australian cities on the SQ website but nothing came up. Am I missing something?

Thank you in advance.

just going to tackle point 2A.
You can book SQ flight numbers operated by VA as part of a broader SQ itinerary,
eg Singapore-Melbourne-Hobart
but you wouldn't be able to book a domestic VA flight in isolation as SQ flight numbers, using the above example you couldn't book SQ flight numbers just for a Melbourne-Hobart.

Thank you for your advice.

On question 1A, Star alliance miles are earned on the basis of the operating carrier, not the marketing carrier. Therefore for most star alliance programs, you definitely won’t earn any miles for VA operated flight with a SQ code. For VA partners who are also star alliance members (eg UA) I am not really sure but UA does indicate the following, so maybe:
The award miles accrued on codeshare flights are based on the operating carrier and their equivalent fare class
