VA Plat flying MI on SQ code share - do VA WP benefits still apply ?

Hi All

I am booked to fly SYD-SIN-HYD and back on SQ ticket number all thru, I am a VA Platinum and was wondering if all the benefits still apply. I mean do I get the points and SC for the MI flight. Fare class for tickets is as per full fare Y..

and can i sneak into lounge at HYD. It is a contract lounge for MI.

Silk Air uses Plaza Premium in HYD so unfortunately i think its unlikely you will get in.

But you can pre-book access for $24 USD for 2 hours.

thanks bullerdude.. Last time at Ahmedabad airport a little bit of persuasion and waving of purple card did help so will try my luck first and then pay if I have to...

Good luck and would be interested to know if you get in. Partner is WP and we tried on an MI flight from Chiang Mai to Singapore (using MI's partner lounge in Chiange Mai - Thai Air). A definite NO! Couldn't even pay.....and Chiang Mai departure area isn't the most exciting place.....

No chance if MI or SQ are using the lounge of a star alliance partner (such as Thai lounge) as the contract lounge. Third party lounges may be more hopeful. I do recall reading on FlyerTalk that at HYD a VA WP was granted access.

Quick update

Got into the Lounge at HYD without having to ask. The staff at check in desk just handed out the lounge invitation card when I asked is there a lounge.
