Thanks for this - I was able to manage to change my Y seat to PE for next month PER-BNE-LAX-SYD-PER for less than what a QF Y seat is at the same time (19/7 - 9/8)

I looked at VA PE last month when I booked and they were $3,400-3600 each, so this looks like great value.

Product is average which is probably why it is being discounted so heavily, but at that price a no brainer over VA Y!

Having flown PE, I think its a great alternative to those that don't want Y but cant afford or allowed (corporate policy) to fly J. Its a small cabin of 40, extra legroom, recline and better service. You dont have to share the toilet with 200+ other people and you are in and out of the plane before 200+ other people. Its a good alternative.

I actually recently purchased PE flights and was able to upgrade to J. My thoughts was worse case scenario (if I didn't get the upgrade), I would be happy with PE and wouldn't risk Y.

I have no problem with VA PE - on a par or better than QF's, especially with the Self Service drinks/snacks.

Very tempting fare...I was going to buy one way (BNE-OGG) do an AA award (OGG-LAX) and buy a LAX-BNE return in QF PE, total of $4k. The $2k fare is available the days I need to be in LA, plus its the direct Virgin flights.

Its either visit the office in Maui and LA via QF/AA or blow off Maui (do LA only) and take up Virgin on the PE special.

Maui for me is all work (and a few rounds of golf), something I do 4-6 times per year, so not going this trip could be a blessing in disguise.

Cheers
BF

If I wasn't already going in October, this would have been a bargain.
