VA in "J" BNE to HKT

Just returned from Thailand after experiencing VA "J" for the first time. Direct flight both ways. What a great product. The onboard bar was a good excuse to prise one's self from the comfy seats. I was so impressed I am re-apportioning my cc spend. I have only flown "J" with 3 airlines and this one was by far the best to date. What's everyone elses opinion of VA "J" :mrgreen: CM

Just flew BNE - LA - BNE in J with VA and although not quite as good as Emirates J , agree with the comments above and will make some credit card changes to be able to use points with VA in the future.

What are the 3 other airlines may I ask?

Have only heard good things about VA both Y+ and J.

Hmm.... my experience with EK J is that it's fairly average. You need to fly F to get anything special on EK.

VA J is a great product, especially if you get row 5. The flight times for the HKT flights are quite good as well. Just a shame about the lounge in HKT.

On what aircraft type did you experience EK Business Class? There is a big difference between J on the A380/77W and the A340 and older/regional 777.

I've flown J on 772/A340..... AKL and CHC runs.

It was good, and i'm never one to scoff at a premium cabin (considering how cough it is down the back) but still - VA J outranks EK J..... but EK J has turned cough over the past 5 years or so, so maybe back in the day it was alright....
