This one might be of interest to our Kiwi friends. Virgin Australia has fares from Auckland to Hong Kong (via Sydney or Melbourne) for NZD545 (around AU$512) return. Works for various dates next year (e.g. March).

May also work from other NZ cities.

Tip: fly through MEL for an extra 5 status credits each way. AKL-MEL-HKG should earn 100 status credits round-trip.
