V Australia Interline with Virgin America not always available?

Hi Everyone,

I'm currently booking flights SYD - JFK with V Australia and want my interline flights to be with Virgin America over delta, I would almost go with qantas if i had to fly delta. Anyway, my point is that the connections with Virgin America have been showing up fine with Delta as other options, but as of today I cant see Virgin America connections available.

I called the call centre and they said they could find them but it would cost me more. Does anyone know about when allocations are released and if they are sold when subsequent flights/seats are released?

As i said in the past they have already shown as being there (for my depature anyway) and now i cant see them at all!

My secondary question is because of such cost flucations as a result of the connection, will i be killing myself if i just fly to LAX and manage the connection myself possibly the next day.

Departure: 9th June (is flexible)
Return: Not for 12 months but have been using October 9 as dummy dates.

Hope someone can give some advice!

It seems as though they may not be interlining with Virgin America on there web page anymore. Next month we are booked to go SYD-BOS with V australia and Virgin America. After reading your post I went into the V Australia site to do a dummy booking to see if Virgin America come up and they don't even offer BOS as a destination anymore. I think that is because they are only using Delta as there connector in America now and Delta don't do direct to BOS from LAX. Very strange! I'm glad we booked when we did.
You are better off checking flight costs if you buy them from intenal US sites and if you are not doing a connection that day you can afford to compare all of the different airlines and choose the best price.

I'll be flying VA1 on Friday, then connecting on VX to Ft Lauderdale. Will let you know how that goes.

Hi, recently got back. Sorry I didn't manage to reply before you left. Anyway for others' future reference, VA does interline with VX, at least for the LAX-FLL connection.

I Used http://www.jetabroad.com.au to find VA/VX connections.

They need an online multi-trip thingy.
