A client of mine is flying to Ireland and will be flying out of DUB on the QF codeshare on EK which uses the contract lounge in Terminal 2. Does any one have any experiences of this lounge? And can a QF Plat flying in Y on the QF flight number get entrance to the lounge?

thanks in advance.

I flew out of CPH in Y on a QF codeshare on EK as a QF Plat and my boarding pass had a lounge invitation printed on it for the contract lounge there. One would think they would have the same process in DUB.

Yeah, you'll get access to the DAA executive lounge + guest. It's a small lounge and might get crowded closer to boarding, but nicely furnished. Choices of food isn't the most extensive, but perfectly adequate - think snack foods (chips, cheeses, crackers, soup, pastries).

Here are a couple of photos of the lounge in DUB I took in April - not very exciting but snack foods OK and a Guinness or two in cans

Thanks for the replies, it will put his mind to rest as his SWMBO will be happier.

VPS - looks a lot different to the lounge I was in (also back in April) - the ceiling was much much higher, and looked more airy.

Not sure if there are two lounges but I'm pretty sure it was the DAA lounge I was in - they're not great photos though so that may be distorting it a bit

Your pics look like the T1 lounge which might explain the confusion.

Just checked Tripit and indeed I did leave from T1 which was a BA DUB LHR flight - so looks like the OP is going from Terminal 2 which looks a bit better but the food options look the same - sorry for the confusion everyone

The DAA lounge @ T2 is fairly new, spacious and comfortable. The T1 DAA lounge, pictured above is a renovated EI Gold Circle lounge from back in the day. It's out of the way, small and poor F&B offerings.

Emirates use the T2 DAA lounge, EY have their own lounge at T2 which is pretty nice.
