Hi guys,

Just a quick question.

A friend of mine based in the Uk has some Qantas points that require using soon before they expire and she asked
me what could they use them on based in Europe?

I do not fly Qantas so can't really help although i am aware they do have a online shop. Any other suggestions would be helpful. Unfortunately I'm not sure how many miles they have but I guess it's a decent amount accrued from previous flights to Australia.

Thanks

You could sign them up for an EDR card and do a shop once a year to keep them alive, otherwise redemption on One World airlines - AKA BA would be a handy local use of points.

Cheers guys for the responses - so you can still use points on BA?

You can use them on BA but economy awards are generally not worth it at all - often the "base fare" is only a few pounds so you end up using 9000 points to save £2 and still have to pay the +++.
Business/Club Europe awards are better value.
