Using Plat Upgrades on Multi-sector

Hi VA brains trust.
Can I use my Plat upgrades on specific sectors of a multicity booking?
If I book AA-BB-CC rtn flexi is it possible to upgrade only the BB-CC sectors?
Reason for asking is that I have two comp upgrades left, a transcon to do and only want to use the upgrades on the transcon.
Any help appreciated

not sure of the precise rules but I have used them to upgrade specific legs of a bigger itinerary no problems (more than once) so I think it's fine.
