Using my complimentary invitation?

Hi, not sure if this answer has been posted elsewhere but I just can't find it.

I have a Qantas invitation pass which expires in Dec 2017. Can I use this for the Sydney Qantas domestic lounge even though I'm not flying Qantas? I'm travelling to Griffith in Nov and the only airline offering this service there is Rex Regional Express. Thanks.
No, you won't be able to use it on a Rex flight

The issue at LAX doesn't make sense in light of Qantas operated international business lounge

Complimentary invitations
There are two types of lounge passes: complimentary and paid.

This thread is about complimentary invitations and it is clear that you cannot use these in LAX:
Lounge Access Invitation and Lounge Access | Terms and Conditions | Qantas

Complimentary Invitations are not valid for use at Domestic Business Lounges, the Los Angeles (Tom Bradley Terminal) International Business Lounge, or any Associated Lounges*.

Even on the LAX TBIT lounge page it says so:
Lounge Locations | North America | Los Angeles International Airport Tom Bradley Terminal | International Business

Note: Complimentary invitations cannot be used in the Los Angeles oneworld lounge.

As for the paid type, it does not say you cannot use the TBIT lounge nor does it say that you can. You'd expect that if they offer you the opportunity to purchase lounge access departing LAX TBIT on a QF flight, then you can use the lounge. I've never seen or tried to purchase one so I have no idea if you can even buy a pass for an ex-LAX QF flight.

Interestingly the new P1 complimentary invitation allows use in a QF F lounge, which you would think includes the LAX TBIT F lounge.

Eligible Lounge for a Platinum One Complimentary Invitation is the Qantas Club, Qantas International Business Lounge or Qantas International First Lounge at the departure port of the Eligible Flight. Platinum One Complimentary Invitations are not valid for use at any Associated Lounges*.

Does that mean the complimentary P1 invitation can be used in the LAX TBIT QF F lounge but not the oneworld J lounge? Not that you'd want to go to J over F....

I don't believe so. If you are feeling generous you may consider giving away your pass on this site as many others have done in the past.

Now havin read all the extra pages, and all the notes buried in the T&C, there are a number of alternative pages which creates a lawyers paradise.

Like all these things, simplify the access information and make it easy to understand

Which trumps which ?
Well, seeing it's the good ole USA, clearly there's a fake border Wall around the TBIT Lounge where no Australians with complimentary invitations are allowed to cross over.
