Using lounge on arrival with checked baggage

Have a flight to Melbourne on Friday and hoping to use Fly Ahead to get the earlier flight if I get to the airport early enough. If I do I'd like to use the lounge on arrival but I'll have a checked bag with me. Are there any options to have this stored safely whilst I wait in the lounge? If I leave the checked bag to go around the carousel umpteen times I can see it as a sure way to ensure the bag goes missing.

I've done this several times and my bag was always there waiting for me. 90 minutes was the longest I think.

The lounge is before security, so can't you just take your luggage in with you?

On a couple of occasions I have gone to MEL lounge after picking up my rather huge suite cases As noted above, the lounge is before security, so you just pick up your luggage(s), take the lift or escalator up, and walk to the lounge.

Same, I’ve accessed the MEL lounge on arrival with two large suitcases multiple times and it’s always been no issue
