Using KF miles on Air Canada flights?

I'm relatively new to trying to use KF miles on partner airlines - given Air Canada has a dynamic reward points program, it would be great if someone can give me some guidance when reward availability on Air Canada reflects reward seats that can be booked with KF miles?

To be specific - I was looking at YVR-SYD (direct) on Sept 1, 2022, and Air Canada had a J seat for circa 315,000 points - could that be booked using KF miles using the standard KF partner award chart?

I also looked for Air Canada reward availability on United, but Matt once mentioned that on United, you can only look for Saver awards to use with KF miles and I couldn't see any Saver awards for that flight in J, which makes me think that the reward availability I can see on Air Canada isn't applicable for KF miles.

You are correct - you can only redeem AC awards using KF if they are saver awards - UA is the easiest way to search for these as the SQ site hardly ever shows *A flights online so you need to call SQ to redeem these. To make things even more frustrating teh SQ call center sometimes cannot "see" these seats - best to try calling again if this happens - seems to depend on the agent.

I had a quick look and there are many days in Sept 2022 with AC awards at saver level - but not on Sept 1 - closest days is Sept 3 - you could also check YVR-BNE or YVR-MEL (if AC restart this route).

Thanks very much for that --- sounds like I should only trust United for this search as dynamic pricing on air Canada sounds like it makes it unreliable (I'm glad I read somewhere that air Canada flights don't show on Sq as that would've confused things further)
