Hi - From what I understand you can access the lounge if you are flying that day or I assume so many hours before you fly because obviously if your flight leaves after midnight you can access the lounge before hand.

So I am flying to Melbourne tomorrow and I arrive at 6am and I am leaving the same day at 8pm. Can I land and immediately go into the lounge and freshen up seeing I am flying on a QF ticket later that day?

If your status is Platinum and above then you can access the lounge upon arrival.

But if you are not Platinum and above and you also have a flight later that day then you can access the lounge before departure. I do not think there is any restriction on how many hours before departure you can access the lounge.

Hope that helps.

Found this in the fine print on the Qantas site: "+ You can check-in for your return flight if it is within 12 hours of departure and you only have carry on baggage."

I assume this means I can't check in until 8:20am as I leave at 8:20pm. I will ask nicely and see if they will let me have a quick shower and change my shirt :-)

You can check in online for your return flight at T-24hrs and print off the boarding pass. Show this boarding pass on entry to the lounge and I do not think the time and/or date is going to be scrutinised too closely.
