hey guys with flight credits, I had received credits from a booking for 2 people. I am trying to book a single passenger flight using the credit? Doesn't seem possible, can anyone confirm?

Split the booking into different booking references, then you can at least use one credit. Buy yes, all credits need to be used by the same amount of people.

I think with flight credits is has to be exactly the same passengers on the original booking, no additions or deletions

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

How do you split a credit into 2 different booking refs? I know you can do that via MMB for an actual flight booking, but that doesn't seem to be possible for a credit. Is this something QF will do over the phone?

I have a "Flight Credit reference 123456" which is a carry over from the DSC offer of Feb2020. The reference number is the same as the original booking. If I click the "find Flights" button and select a flight in this way, will it create a booking that will meet the eligibility for this offer?

I'm hesitant based on previous offer eligibilities which were later found to be based on the very first day of the booking references existence.

A nice gentleman from the Hobart call centre explained the flight credit system for me the other day. Posting as a reference for you and anyone else

If you cancelled your flight, the flight credit is technically seen by QF's system as what is essentially "an open ticket from anywhere to anywhere". It's a "credit" in name only.

Because it is an open ticket and not a credit or voucher, the people named on the ticket have to be the ones to travel.

Like others said above, like with a normal ticket, you can split the booking and use credit for your half, but your travel partner cannot transfer theirs to you.

If Qantas cancelled your booking, this doesn't apply. Your credit is technically treated in the system as what is essentially a "prepaid Visa".
