Hello everyone,

Am currently Red, just short of Silver but will be flying to LAX next week on VA. I have pooling set up with my wife who I am travelling with and
over the month I am there, will be taking a number of flights with Virgin America and Delta that will have me qualified for Gold by the time I fly back in late December.

My question is, given that there is usually a lag in the update of SC earned from partner airlines, even though I will be over the required amount to reach Gold it most likely wont be showing on their system (most of the flights anyway) and I wont have a Gold card at that point.

Will VA recognise the uncredited travel for lounge access at LAX for the flight back. Is there ever any room to move/prove that I am now over the limit by showing ground staff at LAX relevant boarding passes/flight bookings previously flown?

Cheers

I've had DL flights credit within a few days, and others have taken weeks (and one was A-B-C, where A-B credited within a day or two, and B-C took 3 weeks, all on the same PNR and was ticketed as a through fare).

You may need to remove/re-add your FF number when your status updates online, so just keep an eye on the Velocity website. When you check-in, providing you have hit Gold, your BP will reflect this, and you'll be given an invite to the lounge.

If you want to be safe, just grab a print out of your status from the site when it turns gold.

Uncredited will not count. Basically if it isn't in your summary, they won't pay any attention to it.

And welcome to AFF.

Cheers, I've been lurking around here for a while. Some really helpful stuff.

I'll update the thread and let you know how I go with this.

I've had DL flights credit within a few days, .

Same in my recent experience: two LAX-JFK flights credited in about three days, and from family pooling I can see that my wife's did likewise.
