Hi,

Okay everyone - be kind....

I purchased 110k us dividend miles before the change over to OW and I must admit I have been slack in staying up to date since the changes.

I have flights booked on velocity points for a trip to the states in the coming week but was just thinking it would be good to use up my US airways dividend miles.

Anyone with access to the appropriate tool set have access to flights that work along the lines of:

Depart Brisbane anytime after 5pm on 22nd October and need to be in Las Vegas on the 26th of October (AM)

Depart Los Angeles anytime after 13 November (have a status run ending on 12 Nov) and back in Bris by Monday 17 November.

In already have a positioning flight booked to Syd on the night of the 22nd because was flying out of SYD the next day to LAX... not essential to use it.

I know its a long shot... But I love J/F travel and it would be a nice chance to use the miles :)

This is weird but the more interesting the routing the better!

Thanks!

You can access award information for USDM through the Qantas and/or BA award tools. If there are no direct flights ex BNE on QF (unlikely I guess) you can route via HKG. Best to break it up and search BNE-HKG and HKG-LAX or SFO separately. CX is pretty good with availability close in to departure. You may even find availability in F before J.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

There's a reasonable amount of availability. The following itinerary is available:

23/10 BNE-HKG CX156 00:55-07:45 (J)
23/10 HKG-LAX CX898 09:30-07:55 (J or F)
13/11 LAX-HKG CX897 08:35-16:15 +1 (J)
15/11 HKG-BNE CX157 12:35-23:20 (J)

You have to do a mini-stop in HKG on the way home although you may be able to tidy that up when more availability opens up closer to the day. Also if you book F there is a good chance an F seat will open up from LAX-HKG a few days before departure (the three flights that day are showing F3, F4 and F4 remaining).

There should be heaps of options for LAX-LAS that you can include on this itinerary as well so long as you only have one stopover in LAX.

Good luck
