USA to Europe options

Wondering what options are available to fly to Europe (pref. BCN then eastern Europe) from east coast USA. Can use miles/points for J class or at worst, Y for cash. Travel June/July.

fares seem to be expensive this summer... with round trips nudging the $800-1000 mark (for coach).

miles would seem to be a good use... plenty of choice depending on the program you are with.

there are also some second tier carriers... Norwegian, Iceland air, open skies and La compagnie... you might want to have a look and see if they are offering anything cheaply.

googleflights is is a good starting point for cash fares.
