Does anybody know why (and which) certain US city pairings are valid routes for open jaw bookings online, but other pairings cannot be booked online? For instance, SYD-CMH//DFW-SYD is an invalid route that I cannot book online, but SYD-ORD//DFW-SYD (for instance) is perfectly valid. Woudl something like SYD-CMH//DFW-SYD be valie through the (charged) call centre?

Have a look at Jetabroad for SYD-DFW return with a CMH stopover (on the way there or the return). It's valid on Delta and United as well as QF/AA and a few others. It's not open jaw but other combinations may fit your needs.

Thanks grussellt.

ifly.net.au allowed me to find a QF fare for SYD-CMH//DFW-SYD (for about $170 more than the QF website shows for a simple SYD-DFW-SYD itinerary on the same dates.) However, it would still be nice if the QF website could accommodate such an itinerary!
