Sorry what is the point of this question. As you quote, Ryan air rules are clear - no one accepted after checkin closes. Whether one misses check in or the flight makes no difference. The fact that they can't accept exceptional circumstances, is pretty bad.

And the Victorian bush fires is pretty exceptional I would think!

is Dunmow, why did you stay there?
Plenty of good B&B's just down the road in Stansted Mountfitchet, a couple of great pubs and one of the best fish and chip shops in the area, just what you need after a skin full of real ale at the Queens Head.:mrgreen:

Ryanair isn't so bad if you play by the rules.

I stayed at the Travelodge in Dunbow, with a little more research, I would have stayed at an airport hotel, Live and learn...
