Hi,

A colleague of mine is going to a conference to the US in September and asked me to help him with a status run (sort of - lots of constraints). He is arriving at LAX on 1st September at 6:35 AM. He wants to take the 10:40 AM flight from MIA to SJO on 2nd September. On 4th September he is flying SJO - MCO arriving at 11:30 PM and then flying back to Australia on the 7th of September. So, really his only opportunity for a run is on the 1st of September.

The best I've been able to do is LAX-LAS-DFW-MIA-SJO-MIA-MCO which gives 420SC for $928, which is pretty bad for a status run when compared to SJU.

Can anyone suggest some better alternatives? His budget is no more than $1000. His aim is to get to Gold from 0 as he will have no more work related travel this year. The flights to and fro US should net him another 110 points. This also involves an overnight stop in DFW.

Cheers,
MrHyde

Wow!!....a tough one MrHyde, only because of the availability here to do the SC run on 1 September. I'm looking to see what I can come up with. I am in the US in August/September and locking in some more SC runs.
