I joined UA in Feb and I'm 2 months away from making 1K. I have a residence in both the US and Australia. Is there any advantages to being an Australian MP member? I'll finish the year with 160 - 180K BIS miles mostly W and H class.

TIA

If you have an Australian address then you wont be eligible for most of the many promotions that Mileage Plus offers. Having said that the T&Cs refer to US resident IIRC - not sure how MP can check that US address = US resident.

Hi rosesplus.

In my experience if you have a non-US address you get treated very shabbily by MP (I'm a 1K, MM of many years standing).

As Kiwi has said, you miss out on many promos (but if you check Flyertalk you may become aware of them and attempt to register, with mixed results).

It's your call...
