US Global Entry Program for Australian citizens [from 2025]

There was something on the Global Entry website that there are virtual interviews that are possible. I don't have any visits to the states until late 26 or early 27, does anyone know the way to possible go via the Virtual Interview route instead?

I believe that's only available for renewals. For first time applicants they need to take fingerprints and sight documents so the interview has to be in person.

You have 365 days to complete your interview for Global Entry. You can organize an appointment through the US Embassy in Singapore which runs Global Entry interviews 1 day a week.

The next interview is on Monday, and I can't see anything for 2026 after that. If only I had done this in advance and had an excuse to go visit Singapore beforehand!

I am keeping an eye out to see if there are any interview slots open up in the first week of Feb (2nd onwards)...

They open them only a few weeks in advance so they are def not available as of yet. Just keep on checking.

Keep in mind Lunar New year is around Feb 17 so don't expect much availability in Feb or March if the US Consulate is as eager to take all available holiday days as my Singapore office staff are!
I'm looking at being in SIN late Jan so I'm hoping I can book my interview while in region then or it'll have to wait for the following visit.

Happy that you got yours so quickly. It is crazy how varied the processing time is.
I submitted my background check application on the 15th too. Still no updates for now. Now there is a notice on their site, saying that it will take at least 3 weeks to get the background check done, as they are being swamped by applications.

Did you click submit on the AusCheck website, or is your application still in draft mode? Happened to me. Thought everything was submitted when I made payment but then I had to go back into my application and click submit.

Yes i did actually. I even got an email which said that i had submitted the application :) I also called up Auscheck a few days after submitting the application, and the guy from Auscheck said that everything looked good. The main annoyance was actually trying to submit my passport details on the MyID app. It kept failing and i am not sure if they have fixed the problem.
