LOL....that FRA-SAV routing is just...well...I dunno. 200 miles under MPM for MEL-SAV though.

So just got another successful booking for my parents next year. Relatively simple!

SYD-BKK (F)
BKK-CDG (F) - Dest
CDG-BKK (F) - Stopover
BKK-SYD (F)

All with TG. mid next year.

150,000 miles each. The booking and everything went fine, but I imagine that would be too be expected with simple itenery.

Just now i've called Thai Airways to confirm Seat numbers and to make sure it had a Ticket Number against it. Seat numbers sorted out, however when I asked about a Ticket number, the girl couldnt tell me (or couldnt see it) and said that as it's a US Airways ticket i would need to call them. But it does say on her screen e-ticket issued.

I know we don't actually need them to give me the number, but she didn't say if there was a number present.

Previous award redemption (mix of airlines) Thai girl had no problems with giving me a number (which matched my US Airways one of course).

Just wondering whether or not this would be indicative of missing ticket number or not? Or does saying on her screen that 'e-ticket has been issued' good enough?

Hi
I made an identical booking (all th f class in July '13). When I made the booking the us airways lady gave me both a us airways confirmation code and also a tg booking code. On the tg website if you put the tg code in the 'check my booking' section you can then see your flights.

Try calling us airways back and ask for the tg code hopefully they can give it to you.

Enjoy your flights

I have the TG booking code, and used this when phoning Thai Airways to confirm the Seat numbers. However the issue is regarding ensuring that Thai Airways actually have a ticket number against the booking (which confirms it has been payed). People here have suggested it is good advice to check this, or as bcworld said the flight could potential be cancelled as it was never paid for by US Airways.

that's the important thing. A PNR means relatively nothing without a ticket number against it. You won't be able to fly on it. Seat numbers are the same. No ticket number, dun matter if you have 1A and have booked the cook. As many will be familiar, even if you cancel a booking, the PNR will exist until a couple of days after the flight was due to take place - so that anyone looking at it can tell the history. Even QF will place a dummy PNR in your profile for this reason... but you can't fly on it!

Known issues have occurred with SQ, OZ and CA that I am aware of, and originating from UA and USDM. If it can originate from those two, no reason to suspect it won't originate from any other star alliance member. It happens very rarely, but if you're the one caught out it is an issue.

OZ you can retiieve your booking on their website via the ticket number itself. So if you can access your booking that way, no need to worry. But since I don't know how to select seats on the TG or CA websites, I just add the ticket enquiry on to the end of the call to TG when I'm sorting out seating.

so MEL, any thoughts on whether my experience today would indicate a missing ticketing number? the TG girl couldnt me a number when I asked (saying I should ring US), but did say that an e-ticket was issued.

I might try and call again tonight, see if I can confirm the number.there was a little bit of a language barrier on the call, but she spoke OK English.

if no ticket number is against the booking I'm guessing a quick chat with US Airways should sort it out?

it's most likely fine - but TG shouldn't have a problem reading you back the ticket number. Just double check when you can (and preferably before 72 hours when tickets auto-cancel!)

great, I'll call them tonight and make sure they have a number!

ndh99, maybe you want to check with Thai the ticketing number if you hadn't done so already?

Is this just for US bookings? As I mentioned in the LM thread, I had a TG booking through lifemiles, and this is the result from the booking retrieval.

The bit that I've scrubbed out in green were numbers in the form ###-#########0 and ###-#########1. If we call up TG asking for ticket numbers attached to my reservation code, will they just parrot those numbers back to me? Or are there TG specific numbers they'll give me?

With US feed back from others here was that the US Airways ticketing number would not show up on any of the online Thai check reservation pages. The only way to confirm if they had a ticket number was to asked by calling them.

I think on page 41, someone clarified their Life miles account would show the ticketing number online.

This view of TG check booking only shows up for Amadeus bookings i.e. the system that LM uses. US bookings show up in the view minus ticket numbers) that looks a bit like someone's first HTML project! :D

Ahh.. that makes sense! Gives me a bit more confidence then :) Thanks!

Thanks for the heads up. I'll definately call today and check the numbers. Thanks for the advice.

they should be able to confirm the Ticket number which should be the same as the Ticket number which shows on the US Airways Manage your Reservation page. something like 037xx_xx_X. the final digit might be different but rest should be the same.and only one ticket number per passenger for all flight with a carrier.
