Am sure this won't happen often and there is a big thread about examples going the otherway.
but looking at the Virgin Australia front pages today
US Site:
Syd, Bris and Mel from US$1258 roundtrip (price for LAX-SYD) ---- ie about A$1200
AU site:
America reduced fro A$1095 return (price for MEL-LAX)
Special only really on MEL-LAX, other fares are $1200 plus, but appear broadly in line with US POS
