VIRGIN Blue's plans to launch flights to North America have been given a boost after the Australian and US governments announced plans to "conclude a comprehensive open-skies aviation agreement" early next year.

The talks are expected to pave the way for Virgin Blue's long-haul subsidiary, V Australia, to fly 10 weekly flights on the Qantas-dominated route from late next year. ...
