Hoping you can help with some suggestions.
My wife’s parents live in Yorkshire UK. They are elderly and have had a second health scare, so it’s likely we will have to travel at short notice to the UK in the next 12 months or so. At least my wife would leave either the next day or day after and I would go at the same time or shortly after. We are both QFF silver, maybe gold soon.

It would be SYD to LHR or MAN or somewhere close. Either Y, Y+ or J, if we can get a reasonable price, prefer more direct flights as time would be important, as would ease of transfers etc as it would be a stressful trip. Looking at prices even ‘Y’ would be pretty expensive to but at less than 3 days prior.

We comfortable looking at FF seats, internet deals, flying from different cities etc. Wondered if you have any other suggestions to get us there quickly and hassle free, especially if you have had to do this before.

Cheers

My mother has had to make 3 x trips from MEL-MAN in the past 9 months for an unwell grandmother.

She's flown Etihad each time, cost has ranged from $1800-$1950 in Y (at reasonably short notice) and she cannot fault the service (she cares less about the hard product).

Sorry to hear your bad tidings.

Pretty sure EK also fly from DXB direct into MAN, as well as other UK ports possibly including NCL, may be an option as well.

Thanks for your helpful comments. happy to hear others
