I am flying out to Singapore on Feb 3 on QF 035 (Melbourne to Singapore). I booked the flight through a third party (flightcentre) and they have provided me with a booking reference to log on to Qantas.com.

Now its my wife's birthday on the Jan 31 and I thought I would surprise her by upgrading her to Business (my 2 year old son and I will remain in Economy), but I am unable to do this via the Qantas website as I think that this is an Emirates booking (even though I am flying Qantas). Is there a work around this or some alternative suggestions? I have more than enough points to do this, almost 300K

Thanks in advance

End of school holidays on that route you're unlikely to get a seat anyway.

Dare I say, unless you want to stump cash it will be unlikely to happen. If an Emirates booking you'd better call them.

Likely a few issues. Assuming QF number on QF metal, but just EK ticket.

1. Can only apply to upgrade all pax on booking. If you only want to upgrade one, need to spit the booking, which would need to be done by Fright Centre. (who are likely to want $)

2. Upgrades are only lottery requests - unless WP or higher, you won’t find out until 24hrs before flight whether or not you have hit the jackpot.

3. If these are cheap sale fares, they may well not be eligible to be upgraded anyway.

Damn....... makes some other programs look easy and generous... (relatively!)
