upgrading my seat at airport

Could anyone please tell me what I could expect to pay for an upgrade from premium international
coach to business class on V Australia Sydney to LA.

From what I understand from the way the check in staff explained it to me when I flew them in August is that V Australia don't have a discounted fee to upgrade as some airlines (such as Thai, Jetstar etc) do, but instead will charge you the fare difference between your premium economy fare and the business class fare applicable on the day.

hmmmm

There are reports of people performing On Departure Upgrades on Virgin Australia flights.

"I was curious to know if VA give the option for on departure cash upgrades (which they do - for $150) however as we were quite late there was no ODU's available. Not to worry we were told, Y+ is still a great product."
